STORY CUBE:
Choose a book you have read recently, or a new one to read over break. After you have completed the book, choose ANY FIVE of the questions below to answer on the cube. WRITE THE EACH QUESTION ON A FACE OF THE CUBE, and answer it USING COMPLETE SENTENCES AND EVIDENCE FROM THE TEXT. On the 6th face of the cube, WRITE THE TITLE AND AUTHOR OF THE BOOK, and DRAW AND COLOR AN ILLUSTRATION TO GO WITH IT. Assemble the cube and bring it with you to school when you return from break. This cube is due on Monday, January 5th.
QUESTIONS TO CHOOSE FROM:
How is this book related to another one that you have read?
What is the main idea of your book?
What is the theme of your book?
Would you recommend this book to others?
How would you have handled the challenge in your novel if you were the main character?
Imagine if you were writing a sequel to this book. What would you include in your plot?
What strategies did you use to help you understand this book as you read?
Was this book an "I PICK" book for you?
