SECRET FRIEND REQUIREMENTS
1. You must keep your secret friend a SECRET. The only other person who should know besides you is Mrs. Newell.
2. After you have drawn, you may not request another secret friend unless you draw your own name.
3. Every day, you should complete a random act of kindness for your secret friend, as well as 2-3 other students. Random acts of kindness may include (but are not limited to):
4. You must study your secret friend for the week and look for positive characteristics to their personality. Write three compliments down for your secret friend on paper (you may make a card, write on lined paper, or type - the format is up to you!). Your compliments must be:

- Loaning a pencil to a student in need
- Smiling and saying, "Good Morning!"
- Helping carry supplies
- Holding the door for another student
- Leaving encouraging notes for other students
- Standing up for someone if they are being picked on
- Sitting by someone at lunch who is alone
- Asking someone to join you at recess
4. You must study your secret friend for the week and look for positive characteristics to their personality. Write three compliments down for your secret friend on paper (you may make a card, write on lined paper, or type - the format is up to you!). Your compliments must be:
- About the person's personality and character only (no comments about looks).
- Very specific (not just "You are nice." Give an example of why. Try to be as specific to that person as you can)
